Tierra Agua Ingeniería & Servicios was born as a comprehensive and transparent initiative aimed at generating real value in the region, guided by scientific principles, environmental ethics, and personalized attention; focused on providing high-value solutions in the field of agricultural engineering and related sciences.
Behind this project is José Cardona Costa, PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, with a solid career that extends beyond our borders. He furthered his academic training as a postdoctoral research associate at the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center at Yale University (United States), where he later obtained a position as an Associate Researcher. His academic and scientific journey is reflected in numerous international publications in the fields of reproductive biology, aquaculture, and applied research.
It was precisely in the U.S. where his professional experience reached a particularly significant stage, as he simultaneously pursued his research career while serving as Manager of Aquatic Scientific Facilities at the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center and, later, as Manager of Aquatic Systems at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. At both centers, he led teams, designed biosafety and animal welfare protocols, contributed to scientific publications, and managed complex life-support systems for aquatic animals used in research, supporting other universities and leading institutions such as Rockefeller University and Cornell University Medical College, also in New York.
Back in his homeland, Ibiza, he began his independent professional career in the field of agronomic engineering and related disciplines, applying his international experience to local needs. His profile combines the scientific rigor acquired at top-tier institutions with a deep understanding of the Mediterranean environment, enabling him to approach agricultural, environmental, and landscape projects with a comprehensive and sustainable perspective.
